Told to wait as the theater was not ready & he would scan later. Couldn’t do it there? Evidentially not, nor could we when walking up to the apathetic customer service individual who seemed to be a bit overwhelmed for what seemed to be all of 20 people in the lobby and bar. Being adventurous-We stood in line to be told that all we had to do was scan by the theater entrance. That in itself was enough to ask for a refund & leave. Entering involved getting hit with a moldy sewage / grease trap combo smell. The online purchase adding additional fees was a bit of a turnoff for a format. Being a great weather day after record snowfall, rain plus being the night before the Oscars could be a factor. Pulling up the first thing to notice was how empty the parking lot was. We are no stranger to this location, with so many choices to choose from we decided to circle back after a 5 yr hiatus from SMG. Speaking of which-we had a bit of amusement that offered the most laughs, that if this was our first date here, the experience quite possibly could been a deal breaker. The film & setting to see it fell quite short, complementing each other in a sad relationship. Being avid movie goers & having a night out to ourselves with teenagers n toddlers lined up with activities outside our own, wife went for Aint it Romantic at SMG. Jon Taffer needs to start a new production right here right now. I think I will stick to regular movie theaters Service was beyond slow and it took so long just to get a Drink that I got up and went to the bar to have a cup filled with water. We finally got to our seats and by this time our kids were starving. Then we found out that was a private showing and we were in the wrong place. There was no one there to take our ticket and point us in the correct direction and so we went to the theater that was closest to the door that had the sign for the movie we wanted to go to. They had two different theaters showing the movie that we went to see. I found out that it was actually less expensive to just buy tickets at the theater and not through Groupon. We worked on this for about 20 minutes and could not get the Groupon to work. The employee selling tickets also could not figure this out. I bought our passes on Groupon and when we got to the theatre I found out that I needed to redeem the Groupon number on the website.
